All in very good condition and beautifully made. This is a lovely assorted set of six Robin Fox handmade floats, measuring approximately 4″ to 8 1/2″ long.
Robin Fox, often signed or referred to as R. Fox, appears to be one of the smaller independent handmade float makers whose work is known among traditional float collectors and coarse anglers, although detailed public information about him is quite limited. His floats are appreciated for their traditional styling, hand-finished character and practical fishing design.
This mixed set offers a nice variety of traditional float patterns, suitable for different coarse fishing situations on rivers, lakes, ponds, canals and slower moving water. They would be ideal for roach, rudd, dace, perch, chub and general traditional float fishing.
Unlike modern mass-produced plastic floats, handmade floats have a charm and individuality of their own. Each one carries the feel of traditional coarse angling, making them suitable for use, display or collection.
