Description
In very good condition with a few signs of use from normal bank and boat fishing, complete with a smooth cork handle with uplocking reel fitting, lined guide ring with snake rings throughout, and original Sage rod bag.
This Sage SP 9′ #8 trout fly rod is a superb quality three-piece rod, offering the classic feel, refinement and performance that made the SP series so highly regarded among serious fly anglers. Built with a responsive yet forgiving action, it has plenty of power for distance casting and larger waters, while still retaining the smoothness and control needed for accurate presentation.
At 9′ and rated for a #8 line, this model is especially well suited to reservoir trout fishing, bank and boat work, sinking lines, teams of flies, buzzers, nymphs and lures. The extra length gives excellent line control and mending ability, while the #8 rating provides the backbone needed for windy conditions and bigger stillwater trout.
The Sage SP range is remembered as one of Sage’s classic high-performance rod series, combining quality materials, excellent build standards and a wonderfully usable fishing action.
A fine Sage trout rod, ideal for the stillwater angler looking for a powerful, smooth and dependable rod for modern bank and boat fishing.
Please Note: There is a small piece of cork missing at the top of the handle which is purely cosmetic and reflected in the price. (see picture)
