Description
One of the all-time classics, the Peeping Caddis has been catching fish since the year dot – and we think ours is up there with the very best! A couple of subtle changes – this one is tied very densely to ensure it sinks more quickly, including using super high quality chenille for the ‘peep’ – it soaks up water better than the alternatives we’ve seen on the market. Also, ours is tied with a market-leading tungsten bead in brown, rather than the traditional copper, so it blends in to the dressing if the fly better.
Use this one as a point fly on a euro rig – that’s where your natural cased caddis live, on the deck. Get it in and amongst the rocks in the faster water, and brace yourself for some spectacular takes – they really crunch on these things – it’s a big meal for a trout or grayling! This one has also put barbel in the net for me – everything eats cased caddis!
